CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College Director of Track & Field and Cross Country has announced the hiring of Elisabeth Danis to the coaching staff ahead of the 2024-25 season.
Elisabeth Danis joins the Boston College staff as an assistant coach for the 2024-25 season. She will be working with the distance runners for both the Men's and Women's cross country and track & field teams.
Before joining the Eagles, Danis spent the 2023-24 season as assistant coach of the Men's and Women's Track & Field and Cross Country teams at the University of New Mexico, primarily assisting with the distance runners.
A native of Nottingham, N.H., Danis began her running career at the University of Alabama in 2016. After two seasons at Alabama, Danis transferred to the University of New Hampshire where she led the Wildcats to an America East Cross Country title in 2019. Danis also finished as the individual runner-up, while also placing eighth as an individual at the 2019 NCAA Division I Northeast Regional. After three years with New Hampshire, Danis decided to use her Grad Year at Gonzaga University for the 2021-22 season.
During her time at Gonzaga, the Bulldogs finished second overall in 2021 as a team at the West Coast Conference Championships thanks to Danis' 10th-place individual finish. Gonzaga also finished fourth at West Regionals, where Danis placed 27th overall.
