Brown Track and Field Announces Coaching Staff Promotions

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Alden-Rothenberg Men's and Women's Cross Country/Track & Field Coaching Chair Ken Hunt has announced three promotions within his coaching staff.


Craig Kinsley '11 has been promoted to Associate Head Track & Field Coach, Hannah-Chappell-Dick has been promoted to Head Women's Cross Country Coach/Assistant Track & Field Coach, and Kurt Benninger has been named the Head Men's Cross Country Coach/Assistant Track & Field Coach.


"These promotions better align us with our Ivy peers and allows us to give our student-athletes the competitive experience they deserve," Hunt said. "It recognizes the hard work each coach puts forth while also addressing the complexities within the Track & Field and Cross Country programs."


Kinsley, an Olympian and NCAA champion, has been a member of the Bears staff since 2016 and is in his seventh season as the team's throws coach. His tenure has included four school record holders, two All-Americans, three NCAA qualifiers and five Ivy League champions. After graduating from Brown in 2011 and competing in the 2012 London Olympic Games, Kinsley served as an assistant coach at the U.S. Training Center.
